I think I already have a favourite, though the colors should change. Any suggestions for a UI color palette would be highly appreciated.

Mew in town is the better one of course (for me at least :) I think the good old 'Flat UI Colors' site could be helpful :) https://flatuicolors.com/

Although usually the trick is, selecting a color that has enough contrast, easy on the eyes etc, and then just changing the hue for other colors, keeping the saturation, lightness etc same, as you already know 👍
